Today’s gloomy day has been a good one for flexing the inking instruments. It’s been too long since I’ve relaxed with this.
And one of those days when I start to doodle – just to see how a new tool works – and wish I’d started on a watercolor pad instead of in a sketchbook.
It’s those times when I’m just doodling that images surface automatically.
So, I can’t really explain what this represents. Other than that it’s a section drawing, not a plan view. And that there’s a mesa, and an underwater base.
And it feels like home.
The tool is a refillable brush pen with Noodler’s Permanent Black Fountain Pen Ink on Bienfang Sketch paper. Original size: approx. 5 inches square.
